Description

Air frying makes homemade chips so simple, top them with mozzarella and a quick onion gravy to enjoy the Canadian classic poutine.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Rinse the chips and dry with a tea towel. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, drizzle with oil and toss well.

Step 2 of 4

Cook for 25 minutes at 180°C, tossing halfway through. Check the chips after 25 minutes and cook for 5 minutes more, or until crisp and golden.

Step 3 of 4

Heat the butter in a saucepan on medium heat and cook the onion for 12-15 minutes, stirring, until soft. Sprinkle over the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add the stock, stirring all the time. Cook for 5 more minutes until thick and bubbling.

Step 4 of 4

Divide the chips between 4 dishes, pour gravy on top, dot with torn mozzarella and serve.
