Description

One of the most delicious pasta dishes ever!

Method

Step 1 of 6

Put a dry pan on high heat and cook the bacon.

Step 2 of 6

Meanwhile bring a saucepan full of water to the boil, so you can cook the fettuccine. Add salt to the boiling water and after a minute then add fettuccine to the boiling water and cook for about 8 minutes until al dente.

Step 3 of 6

Add mushrooms, butter and garlic to the bacon, stirring to coat the mushrooms in the butter. Grind a good amount of pepper over the mushrooms.

Step 4 of 6

Reduce heat to medium and once mushrooms are just about cooked, add the cream plus about 1 tbs of the parmesan to the bacon pan, stir and reduce.

Step 5 of 6

Drain cooked fettuccine and add to bacon pan then top with shallot and herbs, and stir through before serving ASAP.

Step 6 of 6

Once on serving plates, grind more pepper on top and add more shaved parmesan, then eat.
