- 500grams sirloin steak, trimmed and thinly sliced
- 2tablespoons canola oil
- 1tablespoons cornflour
- 1 large onion, peeled and sliced
- 2 large capsicums, red and green, chopped
- 100grams tenderstem broccoli, chopped
- 5centimeters ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 medium red chilli, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 6tablespoons black bean sauce
- 1tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 2teaspoons honey
Description
This beef and black bean stir fry is quicker, easier and healthier than reaching for the takeaway menu.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Toss the sliced steak in cornflour and heat the oil in a large wok over a high heat. Add the steak strips and cook for 3 minutes until browned. Remove from the wok with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Step 2 of 4
Add the onion, capsicums and broccoli to the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes until softened, then add the garlic, ginger and red chilli and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3 of 4
Place the steak strips back in the pan and pour over the black bean sauce, vinegar and honey. Loosen with a tablespoon of water and simmer for 1 minute.
Step 4 of 4
Serve immediately with rice or noodles.
