  • 250grams marzipan, coarsely grated
  • 2 red-skinned dessert apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 4tablespoons apricot jam, warmed
  • 50grams flaked almonds
  • 1/4 cup cream (to serve)

Method

Step 1 of 3

Unroll the puff pastry and place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the grated marzipan evenly over, then arrange the apple slices in rows over the top.

Step 2 of 3

Brush the apricot jam over the apple slices and sprinkle with the flaked almonds. Bake in a preheated oven, 200°C for 20 minutes until the pastry is golden and cooked.

Step 3 of 3

Cut into squares and serve warm with cream or ice cream.
