Description
A delectable and special twist on apple tarte tatin. This melt-in-your-mouth pear tarte tatin recipe is delicately flavoured with honey and thyme.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat oven to 210°C/190°C fan-forced.
Step 2 of 4
Melt butter, sugar and honey in a 24cm ovenproof frying pan over medium heat for 5 minutes or until smooth and combined. Cook for
10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until thickened slightly. Remove pan from heat. Stir in thyme leaves.
Step 3 of 4
Carefully arrange pear in a circular pattern around pan edge. Return pan to a low heat and cook for 10 minutes, without stirring, or until pears are just tender. Remove pan from heat. Place pastry over pear, tucking in edges to enclose pear. Bake for 30 minutes or until pastry is golden and puffed.
Step 4 of 4
Stand for 10 minutes before carefully inverting onto a large plate with sides. Serve with ice-cream.
