Description
Juicy, tender ham hock is the star of these burgers, which would make for a perfect after-game or movie-night meal.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Place ham in a large saucepan and cover with water. Cover with lid and bring to the boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 45 minutes or until tender. Remove and discard rind.
Step 2 of 4
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Transfer ham to a large baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with a little barbecue sauce. Bake for 30 minutes, brushing halfway with some remaining sauce, until sticky and tender.
Step 3 of 4
Meanwhile, place chips on a large baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
Step 4 of 4
Transfer ham to a board. Using 2 forks, shred ham. Toss coleslaw and spinach together. Spread bun bases with aioli. Top with slaw, then ham. Drizzle with remaining barbecue sauce and sprinkle with coriander. Replace bun lids. Serve with chips.
