  • 2tablespoons rosemary leaves
  • 1 1/2tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 1/2tablespoons olive oil

Method

Step 1 of 3

Heat oven to 180°C.

Step 2 of 3

Trim 1cm from base and tops of onions. Peel if desired. Place onions in a roasting pan so they fit snugly together. Drizzle with oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper and scatter with rosemary leaves.

Step 3 of 3

Cover with foil and roast for 40–50 minutes or until tender. Uncover, drizzle with maple syrup and dot with butter. Cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until golden.
