- 1 cup SunRice medium grain white rice
- 3teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 400grams Woolworths extra lean beef stir-fry
- 200grams Woolworths white cup sliced mushrooms
- 41grams Maggi beef stroganoff recipe base
- 150mL Woolworths sour cream
- 1/4 punnet Woolworths chives, chopped
Description
Tender beef and mushrooms in a creamy sauce with white rice, what's not to love? This weeknight dinner is so easy and affordable, you'll think it's a dream.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Cook rice following packet instructions.
Step 2 of 4
Heat 1 tsp oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Stir-fry beef, in 2 batches, for 2 minutes or until browned. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3 of 4
Heat remaining oil in pan. Add mushrooms. Stir-fry for 2 minutes or until browned slightly. Combine recipe base with 1 1/4 cups water. Add to pan. Simmer for 3 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly.
Step 4 of 4
Add beef. Season with freshly cracked black pepper. Toss to combine until beef is heated through. Remove from heat. Add half of the sour cream. Fold through until well combined. Divide rice and beef among serving plates. Sprinkle with chives. Top with remaining sour cream. Serve.
