  • 4 rashers middle bacon, rind removed, coarsely chopped
  • 5packets instant chicken noodles
  • 300mL Woolworths light thickened cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Woolworths frozen baby peas
  • 30grams parmesan, shaved
  • 1/4 bunch continental parsley, small leaves picked

Description

This speedy noodle carbonara with crispy bacon and vibrant green peas will get everyone's approval (and it's easy on the wallet, too).

Buy 500g of Woolworths frozen peas to use in this planner and any leftovers can be added to mashed potato.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Heat a large, deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Add bacon and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until well browned. Transfer to a plate.

Step 2 of 4

Add noodles, cream, 2 flavour sachets from noodle packets and 2 cups boiling water. Bring to the boil. Add peas.

Step 3 of 4

Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes or until noodles are tender.

Step 4 of 4

Add half of the bacon and half of the parmesan to noodle mixture and stir to combine. Top with remaining parmesan, bacon and parsley. Serve sprinkled with freshly cracked black pepper.
