  • 500grams gnocchi
  • 1tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, peeled and finely diced
  • 500grams lamb mince
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2teaspoons oregano
  • 1/3 cup red wine
  • 2 cup passata
  • 4tablespoons parmesan, grated

Description

Swap out your usual spaghetti for gnocchi with a rich and delicious lamb ragu.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Cook the gnocchi in a pan of boiling water for 3 minutes and drain well.

Step 2 of 3

Heat the oil in a large pan on medium heat and cook the onions and lamb mince for 5-6 minutes, until browned. Add the garlic and oregano and cook for 2 minutes. Pour over the wine and bubble for 2 minutes until reduced.

Step 3 of 3

Pour in the passata, bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes until thickened and reduced. Stir in the gnocchi and cook for 2 minutes to heat through. Serve in bowls with grated parmesan on top.
