  • 30grams flour
  • 30grams brown sugar
  • 30grams butter
  • 2tablespoons molasses
  • 10grams macadamia nuts, crushed
  • 10grams walnuts, crushed
  • 10grams flaked almonds, flaked
  • 20grams candied peel, drained
  • 100grams dark chocolate

Description

These Italian nutty treats have a sweet chewy crunch.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, molasses and sugar together.

Step 2 of 5

Incremently add the flour and then the fruit and nuts while mixing. All this to set for about 15 minutes.

Step 3 of 5

Prepare a baking tray with some baking paper. Now divide your dough into about 10 balls, flatten into your desired cookie shape and place on the baking tray.

Step 4 of 5

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes and then remove from the oven to cool. Melt the dark chocolate using a bain marie or microwave.

Step 5 of 5

Now cover the base of the cookies with the chocolate and use a fork to draw a squiggle pattern and allow to cool.
