  • 1 cup dates, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1teaspoons vanilla extract
  • pinch salt

Method

Step 1 of 4

Pre heat oven to 170 deg. Grease a slice tin, line with baking paper. Spray well with cooking spray.

Step 2 of 4

Place the butter, dates, sugar, vanilla and salt on a saucepan on medium heat, stir until melted. Take off heat, cool slightly.

Step 3 of 4

Add egg and flour and macadamias. Stir well.

Step 4 of 4

Spread onto prepared tin, smooth the top, bake for 20 minutes until golden. Cool in the tin. Then cut into squares.
