- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup mixed nuts, chopped (like pistachios,hazelnuts,walnuts)
- 1 litre hummus (from woolworths yumi is nice)

Method
Step 1 of 4
In a blender chop the mix nuts.
Step 2 of 4
Simmer on the stove top the chopped dates and the honey for a few minutes until the dates soften. Add more or less honey and dates up to you and your taste.
Step 3 of 4
Now up to you
You can mix the nuts, honey and date mixture into the hummus or serve the hummus in a bowl with the honey and date mixture poured on top, and then sprinkle on top the chopped nuts.
I mixed all my ingredients together.

Serve this delicious spread with and of your favourite Middle Eastern favourites. Like grilled halloumi, olives, Turkish breads.
