- 600grams potatoes, peeled, chopped
- 2teaspoons ground coriander
- 3teaspoons cumin
- 2teaspoons garam masala
- 2teaspoons chilli powder
- 2 medium green chillies, diced
- 1/2teaspoons turmeric powder
- 3tablespoons coriander, fresh, chopped
- 1 medium lime, juiced
- 4 hot dog buns, sliced open
- 150grams tomatoes, diced
- 1 medium red onion, peeled and diced
- 50grams Bombay mix
- 2tablespoons canola oil
Description
Dabeli is an Indian spiced potato sandwich packed with flavour, a fantastic way to use up leftover mash.

Serve your dabeli with a selection of chutneys.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Place the potatoes in a large pan of boiling water and cook for 12-15 minutes, until very soft, and drain well. Tip back into the pan and mash well.
Step 2 of 3
Heat the oil in a large pan on medium high heat and add the mashed potatoes, cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, garam masala, chilli powder, green chillis and lime juice. Mix well to coat the potato with the spices and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in chopped coriander and remove from the heat.
Step 3 of 3
Toast the buns to your liking. Fill each bun with potato mix, chopped tomatoes, onions, Bombay mix and fresh coriander.
