- 110grams mayonnaise
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 small carrots, grated
- 3 celery sticks, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1teaspoons mustard powder
- 1tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1teaspoons garlic powder
- 1teaspoons chilli flakes
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 green cabbage
Description
Light on the mayo and with a mild heat of mustard and chilli, this coleslawmakes a perfect side dish.
Method
Step 1 of 3
In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, vinegar, powdered and Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and chilli flakes. Season well.
Step 2 of 3
Hold the cabbage, cut-side down, on a chopping board and cut in half lengthways, straight through the stalk. Slice out the core from each wedge and cut across the cabbage, creating broad or fine shreds. Transfer to a large bowl.
Step 3 of 3
Add the other vegetables and mix well until the vegetables are well coated in the mayonnaise. Served chilled.
