- 1 small carrot, grated (to serve)
- Lebanese cucumber, sliced (to serve)
- 4 butter lettuce leaves (to serve)
- 2 onions, sliced
- 5milliliter virgin olive oil spray
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce (or BBQ sauce, to serve)
- 1 loaf Turkish bread
- 225grams canned sliced beetroot, drained (to serve)
- 4 beef burgers
Description

Method
Step 1 of 3
Heat a large non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. Spray the burgers lightly with oil spray. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes each side or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Cover with foil.
Step 2 of 3
Add the onions to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes or until soft. Cut the Turkish bread into 4 serving portions and halve through the centre. Toast both sides.
Step 3 of 3
Layer your choice of lettuce, beetroot and tomato, carrot and cucumber onto the bread base. Top with a burger and onions. Serve with the bread lid and sauce.
