- 4 hamburger roll, halved
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 2 onions, sliced
- iceberg lettuce, leaves shredded
- 4 slices beetroot, drained
- 1teaspoons barbecue sauce
- 1teaspoons tomato sauce
- 4 rashers shortcut bacon
- 4 slice canned pineapple
- 4 beef burgers
Method
Step 1 of 3
Preheat a BBQ grill and hotplate. Cook onions on the hotplate, tossing frequently, until well browned. Cook burgers on the grill for 4 minutes each side or until cooked through. Add bacon to the hotplate and cook for 2 minutes or until crisp. Cook pineapple on the grill for 1 minute each side or until golden. Transfer the onions, burgers, bacon and pineapple to a platter and cover with foil to keep warm.

Toast the cut side of hamburger rolls. Top bases of each roll with lettuce, beetroot, tomato, bacon, pineapple, onions and burger.
Step 3 of 3
Add guests choice of tomato or BBQ sauce and rest tops of the rolls against the sides of the burger to serve.
