  • 1 1/2tablespoons mild American mustard
  • tomato relish (optional)
  • 4 rasher bacon
  • 40grams rocket leaves
  • 1/4 cup caramelised onion mayonnaise
  • 800grams beef mince
  • 4 slice swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup aioli
  • 4 hamburger buns, split
  • 600grams sweet potato chips, baked (to serve)

Method

Step 1 of 5

Knead the mince in a mixing bowl and season to taste.

Step 2 of 5

Divide mince equally into 4 portions. Wet hands and roll each portion into balls then flatten into patties.

Step 3 of 5

Heat BBQ grill to high and cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, turning once. Remove patties and top with Swiss cheese. Grill bacon rashers and toast buns.

Step 4 of 5

Top each bun base with rocket leaves, American mustard, cheese topped beef pattie, bacon rasher and a good squeeze of caramelised onion mayonaise.

Step 5 of 5

Serve with a side of sweet potato chips with aioli or tomato sauce.
