Description

Burgers made in a tray? You'll never look back with this clever recipe for one-tray beef burgers - your next go-to meal for family weeknight dinners.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with sides with baking paper. Place burger patties on tray. Bake for 10 minutes or until almost cooked through. Turn patties and bake for a further 5 minutes or until cooked through. Remove tray from oven and transfer patties to a plate, covering to keep warm. Discard baking paper and cooking liquid from tray.

Step 2 of 3

Preheat grill to high. Return patties to one side of tray. Top each patty with a cheese slice, then add bacon and onion to tray. Grill for 7 minutes or until cheese has melted and bacon is crispy. Add rolls, cut-sides up, to tray and grill for a further 2 minutes or until toasted.

Step 3 of 3

Spread cut sides of roll tops with mayonnaise. Top bases with lettuce, patties, tomato, pineapple, bacon and onion. Season with pepper. Sandwich with roll tops. Serve.
