- 400grams chickpeas, rinsed, drained
- 500grams lean lamb mince
- 1 small clove garlic, crushed

Instruction tip
For older babies that can manage finger foods, the kofta can be given to baby without pureeing, serve with the mashed/blended chickpeas. Always supervise your baby while they are learning to feed themselves finger foods to prevent choking.
Method
Step 1 of 4
In a large bowl mix together the mince, garlic, zucchini, breadcrumbs and parsley until fully combined. Roll into 8 oval shaped sausages.
Step 2 of 4
Heat a little oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium low heat. Cook until golden and fully cooked through. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Step 3 of 4
Place the koftas in a blender or food processor with the chickpeas, lime juice and 2/3 cup water. Process until smooth or until desired consistency for baby’s developmental age.

Serves 12 baby portions.
