10 Ingredients

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 cups leftover macroni and cheese, refrigerated

  • 3tablespoons plain flour
  • 1teaspoons salt
  • 1teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1/2teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1tablespoons milk
  • 5milliliter cooking spray

Method

Step 1 of 6

Heat oven to 200 and airfryer to 180. Spread the breadcrumbs on a lined baking sheet and place in the oven for around five minutes until crispy. Place into a bowl.

Add the flour to a bowl along with the salt, pepper, smoked paprika and garlic powder. Whisk to combine.

Step 3 of 6

Whisk the eggs and milk in a separate bowl.

Step 4 of 6

Using an ice cream scoop portion out the mac and cheese and roll into 12 evenly sized golf balls, then place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Step 5 of 6

Roll the mac and cheese balls individually in the flour mixture, then egg mixture, then breadcrumb mixture. Repeat until all the balls are coated.

Step 6 of 6

Spray balls with cooking spray and inside of the air fryer. Place six balls into the air fryer and cook for 8-10 minutes until crispy. Place the first batch to keep warm in the oven while you cook the second batch of the remaining six balls. Serve immediately.

Tips:

If you don’t have an airfryer you can also cook in the oven on 200 for around 15 minutes instead.
