- 1/2 cup Woolworths panko breadcrumbs
- 2tablespoons Woolworths sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup plain flour
- 1 egg
- 360grams Woolworths haloumi, cut into 2cm pieces
- 5milliliter extra virgin olive oil cooking spray
- 1/3 cup Woolworths honey
- 1 red bird’s eye chilli, finely chopped
- 1teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/4 bunch basil, leaves picked
Description
Indulge in crispy air-fryer haloumi bites with a touch of sweetness and a hint of spice. Dip them in chilli honey sauce and enjoy a satisfying crunch.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Mix breadcrumbs and sesame seeds in a small bowl. Place flour in another small bowl. Season. Lightly beat egg in a separate bowl.
Step 2 of 4
Working with 1 piece of haloumi at a time, coat in flour, dip in egg, then press into the breadcrumb mixture and turn to coat.
Step 3 of 4
Preheat a 5L air fryer to 180°C. Place haloumi, in batches, in a single layer in the air-fryer basket. Spray with oil. Cook, turning halfway, for 10 minutes or until golden.
Step 4 of 4
Place honey and chilli in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until hot. Stir in sesame oil. Drizzle honey sauce over haloumi. Scatter with basil to serve.
