  • 200grams Woolworths white cooking chocolate, broken into squares
  • 600milliliter Woolworths thickened cream, chilled
  • 60grams Woolworths dark cooking chocolate, broken into squares
  • 3 large Woolworths candy canes, finely chopped
  • 2teaspoons peppermint natural extract

Description

Get in the festive spirit with these candy-cane and mint mousse cups that combine the refreshing flavours of peppermint and candy cane in a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth Christmas dessert.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Place white chocolate in a large microwave-safe bowl with half of the cream. Heat in microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir to combine. Repeat and stir until well combined. Stir in remaining cream until well combined. Cover and place in fridge for 2 hours to chill.

Step 2 of 4

Melt dark chocolate in a small bowl following packet instructions. Working with 1 glass at a time, dip the rims of 8 x ⅓-cup-capacity serving glasses into the chocolate, then sprinkle with candy cane. Set aside in a cool, dry place to set.

Step 3 of 4

Add peppermint to cream mixture. Using electric beaters, beat until thick and fluffy.

Step 4 of 4

Spoon or pipe into prepared glasses. Place in the fridge overnight to set. Top with chopped candy cane. Serve.
