- 800grams tubs vanilla frosting
- 2 drops teal gel food colouring
- 1.20kilograms Woolworths chocolate mud cake
- 190grams retro party mix lollies
- 190grams party mix lollies
- 1/2 cup chocolate freckles
- 3/4grams Smarties
Description
Turn heads with this fun and colourful lolly cake. This simple cake hack delivers above and beyond in terms of flavour, ease and wow-factor.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Place frosting in a large bowl. Tint frosting pale teal with food colouring.
Step 2 of 3
Place 1 cake, icing-side up, on a large flat plate. Spread one-third of the frosting over top of cake and, using a spatula, evenly spread to cover top. Sandwich with remaining cake, icing-side down, then push down gently to level. Spread top and side of cake with remaining frosting to cover. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Step 3 of 3
Using picture as a guide, press lollies, freckles and Smarties into frosting to secure. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
