- 375grams dried egg noodles
- 1/2 cup carrot, grated
- 2 cm piece ginger, peeled, finely grated
- 3 spring onions, thinly sliced
- 2 bunch broccolini, trimmed
- 2tablespoons BBQ Sauce
- 1teaspoons black seasame seeds
- 500grams pork mince
- 1L vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Method
Step 1 of 3
Combine mince, spring onion, carrot, ginger, egg, sauce, sesame seeds and 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs in a bowl. Place remaining breadcrumbs into a shallow bowl. Roll 3 teaspoons of pork mixture into balls and coat with breadcrumbs. Place on a large plate.
Step 2 of 3
Fill a medium saucepan 1/3 full with oil and place over medium-high heat. Cook meatballs, in batches, for 4 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a baking tray. Cover with foil to keep warm. Set aside.
Step 3 of 3
Cook noodles following packet directions. Meanwhile, cook broccolini in boiling water for 2 minutes until bright green and just tender. Drain. Serve noodles with meatballs and broccolini. Drizzle with extra sauce. Garnish with spring onion. Note: You can use bought breadcrumbs to crumb foods, but if you have a food processor it's easy to make your own. Remove the crusts from day-old white bread slices and cut into cubes. Transfer the cubes to the bowl of a food processor and process until finely chopped
