  • 150grams puff pastry
  • 50grams butter
  • 1teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 kanzi apples
  • vanilla ice cream (to serve)
  • 2tablespoons brown sugar

Method

Step 1 of 7

Core and slice Kanzi apples.

Step 2 of 7

Heat butter, sugar and cinnamon in a cast iron fry pan.

Step 3 of 7

Arrange the Kanzi slices in a circle in the fry pan.

Step 4 of 7

Let the apple slices fry for approx. 2 minutes before turning.

Step 5 of 7

Cover the Kanzi slices with puff pastry and place the fry pan in a preheated oven (180°C).

Step 6 of 7

After approx. 10 minutes, the puff pastry will have a nice golden brown colour, remove it from the oven, cover with a plate and flip over.

Step 7 of 7

Serve with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream.
