Description
These easy apple turnovers are ready in just 30 minutes. Serve them with whipped cream and icing sugar on top.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Defrost pastry, whisk egg, open apple tin.
Step 2 of 5
Cut each pastry sheet into 4. Put enough apple to fill one side of pastry as shown. Then fold over press down edges with fork and fork the top once as well.
Step 3 of 5
Carefully move them to a baking tray with non stick paper or similar. Brush beaten egg all over, this will also seal edges that didn't stick together very well. Sprinkle generously all over with cinnamon sugar and bake at approx 200 for 15-20 mins till brown and crispy.
Step 4 of 5
Let them cool for at least 1/2hr then refrigerate until needed.
Step 5 of 5
Slice along the sealed pastry fill with whipped cream, dust with icing sugar and serve.
