Description

Four ingredients and 20 minutes are all you need to make this custard horns recipe. Creamy and full of chocolate, it’s a crowd favourite.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Take pastry out of freezer and let it defrost a bit. Cut pastry into 6 long strips

Step 2 of 6

Wrap pastry around a cream horn mould, starting from the bottom on an angle towards the top, but being careful not to go over the opening. (I highly suggest you invest in these moulds - as this will be a crowd request at family events!) Alternative you could shape alfoil in a similar shape.

Step 3 of 6

Place in oven for approx 15 mins until golden. Remove from oven and let them cool slightly

Step 4 of 6

Place the 600ml bottle of cream in a mixing bowl. Using a whisk, add the packet of instant pudding mix (and choc topping/cocoa if required) and start mixing very quickly. This goes thick quite quickly and the mixture will get harder to mix in no time.

Step 5 of 6

Remove pastry from the moulds. Add pudding mix into a piping bag, then pipe into each pastry horn.

Step 6 of 6

Dust with icing sugar to make them look pretty, and enjoy.
