  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2teaspoons allspice
  • 3 cups traditional rolled oats
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/3 cup sultanas, chopped

Description

Bananas, rolled oats and carrots are the star players in these simple, tasty afternoon cookies. Plus, they're a nutritionally approved treat that the kids will love.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat an oven to 210°C/190°C fan-forced. Grease and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

Step 2 of 3

Process bananas and carrots for 10 seconds or until the carrot is coarsely grated. Add remaining ingredients, except for the sultanas, and pulse until mixture just comes together. Transfer to a bowl. Fold in sultanas. Stand for 10 minutes.

Step 3 of 3

Using damp hands and 2 tbs of mixture at a time, roll into balls, then place on prepared trays. Flatten slightly. Bake for 18 minutes or until the edges are golden. Remove from oven. Cool completely on trays.
