Description

Make these easy and delicious crumble-topped berry muffins with the kids over the weekend or school holidays. Plus, they're a nutritionally approved snack that the kids will love.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease a 12-hole ( ⅓ cup-capacity) muffin tray. Whisk apple puree, egg, vanilla, oil, maple syrup and milk in a large bowl until combined.

Step 2 of 4

Combine flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg in a separate bowl. Make a well at the centre.

Step 3 of 4

Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, then stir until just combined. Fold through berries.

Step 4 of 4

To make the crumble topping, combine oats and cinnamon in a small bowl. Spoon berry mixture equally among prepared holes of muffin tray. Sprinkle with crumble topping. Bake for 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
