Instruction tip
Food tip:A puffin is a cross between a pancake and a muffin.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Preheat a 4-hole (1/3-cup capacity) pie-maker until the indicator light illuminates green.
Step 2 of 3
Meanwhile, whisk buttermilk, fruit purée and eggs in a jug. Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Make a well in the centre. Add milk mixture to flour, stirring until smooth and combined.
Step 3 of 3
To make 4 puffins at a time, pour 1/3 cup of batter into preheated holes. Top each puffin with 3 blueberries. Close lid. Cook for 6 minutes or until puffins are golden brown and a skewer inserted at the centre comes out clean. Using a non-stick spatula, transfer puffins to a wire rack. Repeat with remaining batter and blueberries to make 12 puffins in total.
