- 2teaspoons Marmite
- 200grams soft cheese
- 8 slices white bread
- 8 slices brown bread
- 2 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 green grapes, halved
- 1 punnet water cress
- 1 large carrot, peeled and sliced
Method
Step 1 of 4
Mix together the Marmite and soft cheese in a bowl, then spread over the white bread. Cover with the brown bread and press together firmly. Using a medium-sized cutter, cut out as many flower shapes as you can.
Step 2 of 4
Cut a small circle out of the centre of each sandwich using an apple corer and stick either a cherry tomato half or grape half in the middle.
Step 3 of 4
Arrange on a plate or board on a bed of water cress. Cut small flower shapes from the carrot slices using a small cutter and scatter over the 'grass'.
Step 4 of 4
Thinly spread a little marmite or other yeast extract down one side of 12 breadsticks. Cut 6 slices of wafer-thin ham into strips and wrap around the breadsticks pressing on to the marmite to help it stick. Serve with a selection of raw vegetables such as carrots, snow peas and celery.
