Christmas wouldn't be complete without a delicious batch of fruit mince pies. Learn how to make this classic Christmas dessert with this easy recipe.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease a 12-hole, 1/3-cup capacity muffin pan. Cut 12 x 9cm rounds from pastry. Press into pan holes and spoon 2 1/2 tbs fruit mince into each hole.
Step 2 of 3
Cut 6 x 8cm rounds from remaining pastry. Using a 4cm star cutter, cut a star from each pastry round. Top half of the pies with pastry rounds, gently pressing edges to seal, and remaining half with pastry stars.
Step 3 of 3
Brush pastry with a little egg. Bake for 20 minutes or until pastry is golden. Allow to cool slightly for 5 minutes. Serve.
