  • 1/2 bunch spring onion, trimmed
  • 1/4 red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1/4 green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 100grams crunchy fried noodles
  • 1/3 cup crispy noodle salad dressing
  • 2tablespoons chilli crisp oil
  • 2tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup salt-reduced soy sauce
  • 1tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
  • 600grams Macro silken tofu, chilled, drained

Description

Keep cool in summer with this delicious, speedy no-cook meal. Chilled tofu is tossed in a fiery spicy chilli sauce and served with a crunchy Asian-style slaw.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Cut onion into 8cm lengths. Thinly slice each piece lengthways and place in a bowl of iced water. Set aside for 5 minutes, then drain. Reserve cup onion to serve.

Step 2 of 4

To make slaw, combine red and green cabbage, noodles, dressing and remaining onion in a large bowl. Transfer to a serving bowl or platter.

Step 3 of 4

In a small bowl, combine oils, soy and half of the sesame seeds.

Step 4 of 4

Place tofu on serving platter. Top with soy mixture, remaining sesame seeds and reserved onion. Serve with slaw.
