  • 2/3 cup grated cheddar
  • 2teaspoons fresh rosemary
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 6packets fruitless hot cross buns

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 180°C. Cut a deep crisscross pattern into tops of hot cross buns. Place buns in a baking dish so they fit snuggly and are just touching.

Step 2 of 3

In a small bowl, combine butter, 2 tsp thyme leaves, rosemary and garlic. Brush cut surfaces of buns with butter mixture.

Step 3 of 3

Scatter over cheddar. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden and cheese has melted. Serve buns topped with extra thyme leaves.
