  • 1/3 cup thickened cream
  • 4 mocha hot cross buns
  • 4 chocolate Easter eggs
  • 50grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 100grams dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup hazelnut spread

Method

Step 1 of 3

Place chocolate, spread and cream in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high, stirring halfway, for 1 minute or until melted and smooth. Set side for 15 minutes to cool.

Step 2 of 3

Place eggs in egg cups. Carefully cut 1cm from top of each egg, then spoon chocolate mixture into eggs.

Step 3 of 3

Cut hot cross buns into thirds horizontally. Toast until golden, then spread with butter. Cut each slice into 5 dippers and serve with eggs.
