  • 6 Woolworths traditional hot cross buns, split
  • 50grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 1/2teaspoons ground cinnamon (save 1/2 tsp to serve)
  • 250grams Caramilk cream cheese spread

Description

A great way to refresh leftover hot cross buns, this delicious dessert features cinnamon butter melted into hot cross buns and caramilk cream cheese.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Line an 18 x 24cm baking tray with baking paper, extending paper 2cm over edges. Place bun bases, cut-sides up, on tray.

Step 2 of 3

Combine butter, sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl until combined. Spread half of the butter mixture over bun bases. Spread remaining butter mixture over cut-sides of bun tops. Place tops on bases. Bake for 10 minutes or until warmed through. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 3 of 3

Top buns with cream cheese, dust with extra cinnamon and serve.
