- 3 free range eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 40grams unsalted butter, chopped
- 6 Woolworths traditional fruit hot cross buns, split
- 1/4 cup honey, to serve
- 125grams punnet raspberries, to serve
Description
Swap your go-to French toast recipe for this delicious twist using leftover traditional fruit hot cross buns. It's the perfect post-Easter brunch meal that will go down a treat.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Whisk eggs and milk in a large bowl until combined.
Step 2 of 3
Heat half of the butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add half of the buns to egg mixture, turning to coat. Cook buns for 2 minutes on each side or until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover loosely to keep warm. Repeat with remaining butter, buns and egg mixture.
Step 3 of 3
Drizzle honey over French toast and serve with raspberries.
