  • 6 Cadbury chocolate hot cross buns
  • 40grams unsalted butter
  • 250grams strawberries, hulled, halved
  • 180grams block white chocolate, melted
  • 2teaspoons icing sugar mixture

Description

After an easy Easter brunch dish? Try this French toast recipe using Chocolate hot cross buns, then simply top with berries and melted white chocolate.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced.

Step 2 of 3

Whisk eggs, milk and vanilla in a medium bowl until combined. Add 3 buns to mixture, turning to coat. Melt half of the butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add coated buns to pan and press down lightly using back of a spatula. Cook for 1 minute each side or until golden brown. Transfer to a tray, loosely cover with foil and place in oven to keep warm. Repeat with remaining buns, egg mixture and butter.

Split each bun in half and arrange on plates. Top with strawberries and drizzle with chocolate. Dust with icing sugar and serve.
