  • 3-4 drop green food colouring
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 453grams milk chocolate frosting
  • 3 extra large eggs
  • 540grams vanilla cake mix
  • 90grams mini coloured easter eggs

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan forced). Grease and line a 20cm round cake pan. Prepare cake according to packet direction and bake as directed. Allow to cool.

Step 2 of 4

Once cooled, slice cake in half and spread 1/3 cup of chocolate frosting on bottom layer. Top with second layer.

Step 3 of 4

Spread remaining chocolate frosting all over cake, and make a basket weave pattern on the side of the cake using a fork.

Step 4 of 4

Add 3 or 4 drops of green food colouring to shredded coconut and toss to tint. Decorate top of cake with a nest of green coconut and top with coloured Easter eggs.
