  • 200grams shortcut bacon
  • 1/3 cup Woolworths whole egg mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup light sour cream
  • 1 small garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 small lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 iceberg lettuce, cut into wedges
  • 2 truss tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 1 avocado, deseeded, thinly sliced

Description

Transform the classic BLT sandwich into an epic salad that's drizzled with a creamy garlic dressing. The best part? It's on the table in 20 minutes.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Heat a large chargrill pan over high heat. Spray both sides of bread with oil. Grill bread for 3 minutes on each side or until golden and crisp. Set aside.

Step 2 of 4

Add bacon to pan. Grill for 2 minutes on each side or until crisp. Transfer to a board and roughly chop.

Step 3 of 4

Meanwhile, place mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic and lemon juice in a bowl and whisk to combine. Season.

Step 4 of 4

Place some of the bread slices in a large bowl. Arrange lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado and bacon around bread. Drizzle with dressing and serve with remaining bread slices.
