  • 1 large orange, zest only

Method

Step 1 of 8

In a mixing bowl, combine the butter with the sugar and vanilla until fluffy.

Step 2 of 8

Incrementally add the flour and ground almonds while you are still mixing until combined fully.

Allow the mix to set in the fridge for 30 minutes and pre-heat your oven to 190°C.

Remove the dough from the fridge and roll out using a rolling pin.

Cut the dough into your desired shapes which should yield about 10 - 12 pieces and place on some baking paper on a baking tray.

Bake your shortbread in the oven for 16 minutes or until cooked through.

Once cooked, allow to cool while you melt your orange chocolate in the microwave for a few seconds or using a bain marie.

Once cooled, drizzle or dip the shortbread into the chocolate and add some zest on top to garnish.
