  • 110grams butter, melted, cooled
  • 400grams milk chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 100grams shaved milk chocolate (to serve)
  • 2 1/2tablespoons maple syrup
  • 200grams salted pretzel twists
  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a 22cm (2.5cm deep) fluted loose-base tart pan and line base with baking paper.

Reserve 50g of the pretzels for garnish. Place remaining pretzels into a food processor and process until crushed. Add butter and maple syrup and pulse until combined. Transfer to pan and press evenly over base and sides. Place onto a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine chocolate and cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes. Stir in egg. Pour mixture into crust. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until filling has just set. Cool.

Step 4 of 4

Transfer tart to a serving plate. Garnish with reserved pretzels and shaved chocolate. Serve immediately.
