Description

This nutty brittle is the perfect mix of sweet and salty.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Toast the almonds in a large pan on medium heat for 3-4 minutes, tossing often to ensure they don't burn. Spread the almonds out on a large, parchment lined baking tray with the pretzels.

Step 2 of 3

Melt the butter, caster sugar and golden syrup with 4 tablespoons of water in a large saucepan. Turn up the heat until the mixture bubbles up and cook for 10 minutes, until it turns a rich, golden brown colour, stirring from time to time.

Step 3 of 3

Remove from the heat and pour the mix over the almonds and pretzels. Sprinkle with sea salt and set aside to set for 30-60 minutes before breaking into shards.
