Two-Ingredient Strawberry Jam

- 1kilograms strawberries, washed, hulled, quartered
- 2tablespoons white chia seeds
Description
This easy strawberry jam recipe only requires two ingredients. Spread it on toast, or use it as a topping for pancakes, porridge or ice-cream.
Instruction tip
Tip:If using frozen strawberries, allow an extra 5 minutes of cooking time in step 1.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Stir strawberries in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until beginning to soften.
Step 2 of 3
Using a potato masher or fork, roughly mash strawberries. Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until strawberries have softened.
Step 3 of 3
Remove pan from heat and stir in chia seeds. Allow to cool and thicken for 5 minutes before storing or serving (see Tips).

Tip:Store in a clean, airtight container in the refrigerator or in a sterilised jar.
