Description
Featuring a smashed beef patty and topped with melted cheese, the Legendary Smash Burger is a culinary masterpiece that brings it home with tangy burger pickles and a dollop of tomato relish.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Grease and line a baking tray with baking paper. Spread chips over prepared tray. Bake, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 2 of 3
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add burgers. Using an egg flip, press burgers down to flatten. Cook for 2 minutes or until browned. Turn and top with cheese. Cook for a further 2 minutes or until cooked. Remove from heat. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Stand for 2 minutes or until cheese melts slightly.
Step 3 of 3
Top each bun base with 1 tbs of relish, lettuce and tomato. Top with a burger patty and pickles. Replace bun tops. Serve with chips and extra relish.
