- 1-450grams Mr Chen's Chow Mein Noodles (from the freezer)
- 200grams chicken breast, sliced or diced
- 2teaspoons Mr Chen’s soy sauce
- 2teaspoons Mr Chen’s oyster sauce
- 2teaspoons chinese cooking wine (optional)
- 1/2teaspoons honey
- 1tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup baby corn spears
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 spring onion, finely diced
- 1tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted (optional)
Description
This speedy Chow Mein recipe can be on the table in just 10 minutes. A traditional Chinese noodle dish, featuring tender chicken with crunchy bean sprouts and baby corn.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Cook chow mein noodle stir-fry according to pack instructions, in microwave 6 – 7 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a bowl combine chicken with soy & oyster sauces, Chinese cooking wine (if using) and honey, and toss to coat.
Step 3 of 5
Heat the peanut oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium heat. Add chicken and baby corn to pan and sear, tossing regularly for approximately 4-5 minutes, or until cooked to your liking. Remove pan from heat and keep warm.
Step 4 of 5
Once noodles are ready, return pan to the heat, and combine chicken and corn with the noodles, bean sprouts and sesame oil. Cook whilst tossing for 1 – 2 minutes.
Step 5 of 5
Divide stir-fry between serving bowls, and serve topped with spring onions and toasted sesame seeds.
