  • 1 Lebanese cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
  • 2teaspoons caster sugar
  • 2tablespoons tabasco sauce
  • 2tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 350grams kaleslaw kit
  • 1kilograms chicken wings, each wing jointed into three pieces, tips reserved for another use
  • 2tablespoons brown sugar

Description

Drenched in flavour, these smoky spiced chicken wings are the perfect finger food. Enjoy as a lip-smacking appetiser — they’re great for sharing.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Line a shallow baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2 of 5

To make the quick pickles, place cucumber, onion and sugar in a bowl. Stir to combine. Add vinegar and stand until required.

Step 3 of 5

Place chicken, paprika, sauces and sugar in a large bowl, tossing to coat. Transfer to tray and bake, turning chicken halfway, for 1 hour or until chicken is tender and caramelised.

Step 4 of 5

Place kaleslaw in a large bowl, then toss in dressing from kit. Drain pickles.

Step 5 of 5

Transfer chicken to a serving platter and top with pickles. Serve with kaleslaw.
