  • 2teaspoons chilli paste or flakes
  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 2tablespoons corn flour

Description

This tasty slow cooked meal is super convenient, can be easily reheated and freezes well. Similar to a pulled pork recipe but for chicken.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Combine honey, soy sauce, tomato paste, vinegar, garlic and chilli together. Mix until your marinade is well combined.

Step 2 of 4

Place your chicken in the slow cooker and cover with the marinade. Put the lid on and cook on low for 4-6 hours. If you can, flip the chicken once halfway through cooking.

Step 3 of 4

Remove the chicken and use a fork or knife to shred it. Place the remaining marinade into a saucepan. Heat on low on the stove top and add the corn flour. Mix until the marinade thickens.

Step 4 of 4

Once it has thickened, mix in the shredded chicken to coat it. Serve however you like and enjoy.
Instruction tip

Tip: Serve on a bed of rice, mash potato or in bread buns to make sliders. You could also add veggies to your slow cooker for a complete meal.
