- 1tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 kg beef chuck steak, cut into 3cm pieces
- 500grams Passage To India Slow Cook Korma
- 1 cup salt-reduced beef stock
- 1 brown onion, cut into wedges
- 280grams Passage To India Split Pea, Spinach & Coconut Dal
- 1/3 cup coconut cream
- 1/4 bunch coriander, leaves picked
Description
Tender slow-cooked beef korma will become a fast family favourite. Set and forget in your slow cooker, then serve with a spinach and coconut dal.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Cook beef, in batches, for 5 minutes or until browned. Place beef in a 4.5-litre slow cooker*.
Step 2 of 3
Add korma sauce, stock and onion to beef and stir to combine. Cook, covered, on high for 4 hours (or on low for 8 hours) or until beef is very tender.
Step 3 of 3
Meanwhile, heat dal according to packet instructions. Divide beef korma and dal among serving bowls. Drizzle with coconut cream and top with coriander. Serve.
